As Facility Technician, Clemens Caverns, you will play a key role in maintaining and operating equipment and processes in the Midstream business unit. You will work independently and with other personnel in an environment that includes hazardous and volatile materials under high temperature and pressure. Typical working conditions include outdoor weather and elements, blowing air, heat, noise, vibration, and occasionally working from heights and in confined spaces. You will be expected to follow safe work practices including the use of personal protective equipment, equipment isolation, air monitoring, and safety equipment inspections.

What You’ll Do
- Perform routine pipeline and/or terminal maintenance
- Monitor controls for pipeline delivery and receipts
- Ensure quality and quantity of refined products and/or feedstock
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts in a timely manner by staying abreast of product movement schedules
- Ensure timely completion of all required paperwork
- Stay abreast of changes in operation requirements, policies, and processes
- Perform operational duties in accordance with the Terminal Operating and Procedures Guide and Local Operating Procedures Guide
- Respond to process and non-process emergencies
- Maintain emergency response equipment
- Complete mandated safety and regulatory training (Computer-Based Training)
- Maintain effective and professional relationships with customers and respond promptly to their needs
- Perform equipment, environmental, and regulatory checks in support of the company’s vision of safety, environmental stewardship, and Operations Excellence
- Assist with transport driver and new employee training
- Monitor and enforce all safety rules and regulations
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly office inventory reconciliation, additive, agency, and other required reports
- Acquire operator qualification in a DOT facility
- Maintain an accurate and thorough operator activity log
- Develop and implement plans and procedures for clearing and isolating piping and equipment in preparation for maintenance
- Lead the Permit-to-Work process while on shift and perform routine job site inspections
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
- Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following:
- Climb various ladders and stairs up to 40 feet in height, operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment
- Raise and transport articles weighing up to 30 pounds
- Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain
- Work outside in harsh weather conditions
- Wear personal protective equipment such as flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, and hard hat
- Interpret piping and instrument diagrams, process flow diagrams, equipment data sheets, cause and effect documents, and related materials
- Work any shift associated with a 24/7 operation including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Work alone a high percentage of the time
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- 3 or more years of direct operational experience in the oil and gas industry
- Safety and environmental alertness, and a demonstrated commitment to promoting a safe work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Beginner proficiency with SAP
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $87,120 – $122,980.

Midstream
The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
