As a Maintenance Supervisor supporting the Excel Paralubes team, you will be the go-to expert for coordinating maintenance activities, guiding a skilled team, and ensuring equipment reliability across the site. You’ll play a critical part in maintaining high standards for safety and performance while driving efficiency and supporting continuous improvement. What You’ll Do
- Lead a skilled team of front-line supervisors to deliver safe, high-quality, and efficient repair and service work.
- Develop and manage work schedules, allocate resources, and oversee daily work plan execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues, including emergency repairs.
- Partner with schedulers and operations to prioritize tasks, resolve conflicts, and adapt to changing needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to maximize unit effectiveness and operational excellence.
- Identify skill gaps and provide coaching and training to build team capabilities.
- Communicate clearly, motivate team members, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Drive accountability and engagement while maintaining strong relationships across departments.
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 or more years of operations, maintenance, and/or craft experience in the Energy industry
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following:
- Travel up to 5%
- Operate company vehicle on site premises and/or public roads up to 10%
- Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform on-call duties 24/7/365
- Transport articles up to 50 pounds
- Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet
- Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines, around chemicals and hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat, and in harsh weather conditions.
- Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment.
- Maintain face daily for proper respirator/face mask seal (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
- Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Work Identification Credential (TWIC) card
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- 3 or more years of supervisory experience
- Demonstrate knowledge of maintenance planning and execution in turnaround work process’s
- Ability to facilitate turnaround and outage scopes
- Working knowledge of SAP, PM, MM modules, and turnaround planning and execution tools (IPS, STO, ECR)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, identify critical tasks, and establish priorities; strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and respond to unforeseen changes in the work plan and initiate new plans as needed
- Ability to translate strategies into tactics for the front-line personnel
- Strong leadership skills
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $141,300 – $172,700.

The Lake Charles Refinery is located in Westlake, Louisiana. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. Facilities also include a specialty coker and calciner. The refinery processes a mixture of light to heavy, low- and high sulfur and low- and high-acid crude oils. It receives domestic, Canadian and other foreign crude oil through truck, pipeline, marine transportation and terminals, including the Beaumont and Clifton Ridge terminals and the Bayou Bridge Pipeline. Lake Charles produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include off-road diesel, home heating oil, feedstock for our Excel Paralubes joint venture, specialty graphite petroleum coke and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed in the southeastern and eastern United States by truck, rail car, barge or pipelines and exported to Latin America and West Africa.
