The Technician, Maintenance will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the Savannah Lubricants Plant.

What You’ll Do
- Providing primary maintenance and repair for all plant process equipment, including preventative and predictive maintenance, calibration, equipment upgrades and reliability
- Troubleshooting PLCs, read electrical drawings, and have electrical knowledge of from 24 volts DC up to 480 3-phase systems
- Testing, repairing, and/or replacing control devices as needed
- Addressing daily work orders timely and cost-effectively with the use of a work order system by performing daily work orders assigned
- Tracking and communicating maintenance tasks and project status
- Maintaining spare parts inventory controls to facilitate repairs and to minimize process equipment down time while optimizing working capital
- Working with the Business Unit in the design, planning, purchasing, and scheduling of capital projects
- Conducting Job Safety and Environmental Analyses (JSEA), issuing work permits, and overseeing third-party contract workers to assure the work is completed in a safe, timely, and cost-efficient manner, and in accordance with all Company requirements
- Complying with all Company policies and Heath, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) procedures and training requirements
- Developing and maintaining site maintenance procedures and records
- Maintaining skills by attending training sessions and on-the-job training
- Work a dedicated schedule: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential to work 2nd shift
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have a current valid driver's license
- Willing to travel 5% based on business needs to support other plants and locations
- 1 year or more of plant experience and/or other related industry experience
- Currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card prior to employment start date. Information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/twic
- Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform/comply with following:
- To lift up to 50 pounds
- To walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry materials up to 30 minutes as work requires
- To work inside plant conditions as well as outside conditions that include inclement weather.
- To work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines
- To work in loud environment
- To work alone or in a team setting
- To be forklift certified
- To wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection, etc.)
- To work a fixed schedule (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM), with potential to work 2nd shift, and occasional overtime based on business needs
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- 3 or more years of experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical, instrumentation, controls, and/or automation equipment
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70E
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $75,000 - 91,630.
