The Associate Operations Excellence will provide support to the Operations department. Candidate must be capable of providing a full range of administrative duties, including projects with minimum supervision. Organizational skills, sound judgment and personal initiative are required to independently plan and carry out a variety of task assignments.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Inputting and updating Overtime (OT) schedules for Operations workers (includes working with HR to ensure the proper administration of collective bargaining agreements and policies.
- Soliciting for weekly and daily overtime needs and tracking overtime charges in Work Force Software.
- Responsible for timekeeping entries and corrections on employees and auditing Work Force Software for data integrity (e.g. payroll closings)
- Responsible for ensuring proper paperwork is approved before entry into systems (e.g. uprate PAR forms, vacation requests, project assignments)
- Responsible for maintaining employee bank hours on Operators for FMLA, Short-term Disability, vacations, etc. (includes working with corporate HR Leverage Service Center to determine proper communications to employees)
- Responsible for reporting non-occupational absences to Medical and working with HR payroll for proper coding and communication of absences.
- Responsible for absence tracking and reporting to assist in the proper administration of the Company absence control policy.
- Responsible for the management of the annual vacation selection process.
- General administrative duties (e.g. answering phones, filing, creating documents in Microsoft Word and Excel)
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 or more years of experience in timekeeping and/or scheduling
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Willing and able to work extended hours, which may include weekends and holidays, as needed
- Willing and able to maintain facial appearance daily (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven) as required by site policy
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of experience in a refinery environment, or similar industry
- 1 or more years of experience with Work Force Software or similar timekeeping applications
- 1 or more years of experience with Union contracts and agreements
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Must work well under pressure
- Demonstrates knowledge of organization, policies, procedures and practices.
- High organization skills and independently capable of setting and sorting out priorities
- Handles business-related issues to ensure minimum disruption of daily business; provides information to others.
- Excellent Communications and Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to effectively work well with others at all levels of the organization.
- High energy with a strong can-do attitude and proactive in taking the extra steps to provide support and accomplish work.
- Possess business/financial acumen
The Wood River Refinery is located in Roxana, Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri, at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes a mixture of light, low-sulfur; heavy, high sulfur; and high-acid crude oil. The crude supply is sourced domestically or from Canada. Wood River produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include petrochemical feedstocks, asphalt and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed to customers by pipeline, rail car, barge and truck and are shipped to markets throughout the Midcontinent region.
The base pay range for this role is $49,680 - $69,000 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.
