What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement value-driven digital solutions, including process digitization, wireless sensor deployments, and data analytics.
  • Identify, elicit, and document project and process requirements, ensuring clarity and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and support solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps), and pilot innovative projects such as Electronic Work Permits, AI, and IoT sensors.
  • Conduct research and analyze data to uncover key trends and inform decision-making.
  • Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and user acceptance testing to gather and validate business requirements.
  • Analyze and document current (“as is”) and future (“to be”) business processes, identifying gaps and recommending solutions.
  • Partner with internal digital teams, external vendors, and site infrastructure/support teams to meet customer needs and enhance productivity.
  • Maintain high-quality technical and user documentation, ensuring data integrity and backup.
  • Assist in IT budget development, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Act as a 24x7 contact for critical application escalations and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Share knowledge and lessons learned with peers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in business analysis, requirements management, or a related IT/business role.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, and present actionable insights.
  • Proven skills in facilitating requirements gathering sessions and translating user needs into clear business requirements.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to make sense of complex, sometimes contradictory information.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the country and ability to comply with site safety policies.
  • Willingness to provide day-to-day and after-hours support (24x7) and ability to obtain a TWIC credential.

Compensation Range:

$106,200 - $129,800 base salary annually

 

 

 

 

The Wood River Refinery is located in Roxana, Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri, at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes a mixture of light, low-sulfur; heavy, high sulfur; and high-acid crude oil. The crude supply is sourced domestically or from Canada. Wood River produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include petrochemical feedstocks, asphalt and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed to customers by pipeline, rail car, barge and truck and are shipped to markets throughout the Midcontinent region.
