Senior Analyst, Refining FP&A - RREC

This position is responsible for supporting cost reporting, continuous improvement, and financial business support for the Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex under the direction of the FP&A Finance Lead. 
 
Responsibilities May Include: 

  • Demonstrates personal commitment to health, safety, and environmental objectives. 
  • Create and maintain cost reports from SAP and Analysis for Office.
  • Prepare and submit journal entry vouchers for month-end close. 
  • Perform detailed routine analysis during month-end close and report the results to management. 
  • Assist with creating forecasts, outlooks, and the LRP. 
  • Understands maintenance work processes and maintains forecast workbook by working closely with maintenance and operations leadership teams. 
  • Assist with Continuous Improvement initiatives driven by the BU and FP&A. 
  • Assist with Solomon's Reporting.
  • Maintains work procedures and work processes on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance with those procedures, processes, and standards. 
  • Utilize SAP, AFO, FRAP, DRS, and other systems to dive into the numbers and help identify cost savings opportunities, margin enhancements, and errors. 
  • Assist with audit requests. 


Required Qualifications: 

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Outlook) 
  • Strong analytical skills with intermediate/advanced Excel skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) with all levels of the organization 
  • Works independently without much supervision 
  • Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to interact with a high level of professionalism with all levels of the organization 
  • Subject to extended work hours during closing, turnaround, and emergencies 
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality of all information (written & verbal) obtained on the job 
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 

 
Preferred Qualifications: 

  • At least two years experience in a procurement, auditing, accounting, or finance position 
  • Functional expertise in accounting/finance

 The Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex is a state-of-the-art facility processing renewable feedstocks (waste oils, fats, greases, and vegetable oils) to produce vital transportation fuels, including renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuels for California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. The Rodeo facility has been providing energy and improving lives since 1896. The conversion from crude oil to renewable feedstocks was completed in early 2024, enabling the production of lower carbon-intensity transportation fuels. Compensation

 

The base pay range for this role is $90,900 – $137,600 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.

 

This position is eligible for the Phillips 66 geographic differential pay program.  Details and terms to be conveyed in offer of employment.
