The Facility Technician, Ponca City Midstream supports operations and maintenance activity related to Midstream (tank farm, pipeline, etc) assets around Ponca City, OK. This position works a rotating 12 hr shift work schedule, including days, nights, many weekends, and some holidays.

What You'll Do

 

  • Coordinate activities as needed to assist in the receipt, storage and delivery of petroleum products.
  • Perform operational duties in accordance with Phillips 66 operating and procedures guides and local operating procedures guides.
  • Identify and promptly communicate operational and equipment problems and complete trouble reports.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary.
  • Perform equipment monitoring and maintenance documentation.
  • Monitor and enforce safety rules.
  • Perform planned maintenance checks and calibrations and submit appropriate reports in a timely manner.
  • Write and review work permits associated with construction or maintenance in operating areas.
  • Supervise and provide direction to contract crews.
  • Complete and maintain required safety and regulatory training.
  • Acquire operator qualifications, as required.
  • Perform environmental and regulatory inspections (eliminating, containing and reporting all product seeps and spills).
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA safety regulations to include P66 safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain facility emergency equipment.
  • Identify and pursue improvement opportunities. 

 

What You’ll Bring – Required

 

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • To travel up to 5% of the time
  • Willing and able to work rotating shift schedule
  • Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
    • To climb various ladders and stairs up to 40 feet to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment are a part of this position
    • To raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds 
    • To walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain
    • To work outside in harsh weather conditions
    • To work alone a high percentage of the time
    • To respond to emergency calls as needed
    • To work overtime on an as-needed basis
    • To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)
    • To maintain your face so that a respirator / face mask can seal properly (i.e. to be clean shaven)
    • To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat
    • To perform firefighting duties

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

 

  • 3 or more years of direct operational experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Intermediate or greater proficiency with MS Office and SAP
  • Experience with the following:
    • Meter Proving
    • OMNI flow computer
    • Other general pipeline knowledge
    • Mechanical and rotating equipment

 

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $64,980 to $105,820.

Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
