As a Mechanical Technician, you will work with others to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. You will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

What You’ll Do (When Positions Open):

  • Performing maintenance and repairs on engines, compressors and associated components, such as compressor valves, spark plugs, cooling and lubrication systems (auxiliary).
  • Leads or performs overhaul of compressors and engines\engine swings, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup.
  • Ensuring the safe, effective and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities in accordance with Company standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Complying with company policies, procedures and directives
  • Performing work on air pollution control equipment
  • Performing required preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Identifying maintenance work and initiating work requests
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical problems
  • Ability to provides quality assurance and control over 3rd Party contractors performing major maintenance.
  • Maintain all required operations and safety training including required Operator Qualifications for DOT covered tasks.

 

What You'll Bring: 

  • Legally authorized to work in job posting country
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:
    • To climb up to 20 feet using both inclined and vertical steps, ladders, platforms, and catwalks
    • To transport and raise articles up to 50 pounds
    • To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time, to sit and stand for prolonged periods over 2 hours at a time according to job demands
    • Occasionally exerts pull forces of 130 pounds
    • To work overtime on an as-needed basis
    • Wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)
    • To work outside in harsh weather conditions
    • Willing and able to work a rotating call-out schedule
    • Work scheduled or unscheduled overitme on an as-needed basis

 

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Associate’s Degree in Diesel Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
  • 1 or more years of maintenance or mechanical experience in the oil and gas or related industry
  • 1 or more years working experience with reading schematics, manuals and drawings
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and available maintenance programs
  • 3 or more years of experience working with Caterpillar 3500/3600 and Waukesha VHP engine maintenance and overhaul
  • 3 or more years of experience working with Ariel, Joy, and Superior compressor maintenance and overhaul
  • A sound knowledge of code requirements, including OSHA, Process Safety

 

Compensation Range:

This position has a base salary range (before overtime) of $70,200 - $123,200.
