Basic Function:
Phillips 66 EAME Commercial group is actively involved in the trading of crude oils and refined products in the UK and Europe as well as a range of paper derivative products such as swaps, futures and options. The Commercial Operations Team in London is responsible for co-ordinating operations associated with crude and product cargo vessel movements for the European refinery system, Commercial storage and for third party opportunity trading in the Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) region.
Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Support Commercial Operations Team by controlling the approval and payment process associated with Commercial inspection company invoices for operations attended as nominated from the London office ensuring; correct rates have been used by the inspection company in accordance with current agreements, timely processing for payment to ensure compliance with payment terms and resolving any invoice disputes direct with inspection company concerned in a timely manner.
- Support Risk function by making necessary entries into the Trading system to meet deadline requirements for producing daily P&L reports.
- Supporting London Finance Group by data entry of all approved inspection invoices into Trading System.
- Support Commercial Operations Team by processing third party Secondary cost invoices in the Trading system ensuring the necessary approval is obtained and that payment is made in accordance with agreed payment terms, any payment disputes resolved in a timely manner with the third party concerned and reconciliation for all third party accounts.
- Setting up planned cargo movements within Trading System.
- Generate Insurance Certificates from RADAR database as/when required.
- Assist in redistribution of Safety Data Sheets in line with P66 REACH obligations.
- Process original cargo documentation, passing to Commercial Operators where endorsement is required.
- Perform ad-hoc projects and provide holiday cover for Operations as required.
Critical Skills/Leadership Criteria
- Hold the legal right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis without restrictions, or meet the relevant criteria for employer sponsorship.
- Excellent attention to detail is required.
- Excellent analytical, numeracy and computer (Excel and Outlook) skills.
- Must be able to work efficiently under time pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills are needed to work effectively within the Operations team, and for interaction with other Phillips 66 groups and third parties.
- Experience of working in an accounting group, and completing reconciliations, is an advantage.
