The Graduate Development Programme is a two-year structured scheme allowing you to experience two rotations, across our three different business areas – Commercial, UK Marketing and Corporate Staffs. Our previous graduates have experienced roles* such as:

  • Risk Analyst – Work closely with the trading teams to develop an understanding of the portfolios managed by the traders, and to ensure that exposure and daily mark-to-market reporting are accurate, timely and informative.
  • Customer Support Coordinator – Provide day-to-day customer support and gain exposure to all aspects of UK Marketing, including customer relationship management, supply and logistics, supply contracts and pricing mechanisms.
  • Supply Operator – Coordinate operations associated with white oils movements for the UK Marketing logistics system for over twenty petroleum terminals.
  • Demurrage Analyst – Responsible for the accurate and timely review, negotiation and settlement of demurrage claim activities associated with marine voyages, avoiding all time bars in filing or rebilling demurrage claims.
  • FP&A Business Analyst – Responsible for the provision and validation of accurate and timely monthly financial reporting including presentation of month end results and key business metrics.
  • Market Analyst – Analyse the fundamental and technical aspects of the oil markets to determine short, medium and long-term market outlook.
  • Operations Support Analyst – Support the Commercial Operators by controlling the approval and payment process associated with Commercial inspection company invoices for operations attended as nominated from the London office.
  • Contracts Analyst – Help to co-ordinate and maintain the agreements which support the buying and selling of physical crude oil, feedstocks, refined products, and renewables commodities.

*These are subject to change, depending on business need.

  • Driving global coordination and supply management of feedstocks.

  • Gathering market intelligence to improve market performance.
  • Managing risk to achieve optimal return.

Marketing

Phillips 66 Limited markets retail and wholesale products across the UK, supplying a variety of customers, ranging from stations and supermarkets to third party resellers under the JET and Phillips 66 brands. On the UK retail side, we have a growing network of over 320 independent and company-owned sites which complements a substantial market share in the UK wholesale market. The fuels are either collected by customers or delivered through a contracted road tanker fleet operating out of several UK distribution points. We are also exploring additional opportunities with renewables and electric vehicle charging to support low-carbon goals and the growing demand for sustainable fuels. This involves:

  • Developing new and deepening current customer focused relationships to grow product sales.
  • Continuing to build the Jet and Phillips 66 brands in the marketplace.
  • Ensuring that products can be transported safely and cost efficiently from our Humber Refinery and other terminals to our delivery points.
  • Managing all customer queries in a proactive manner throughout the supply chain.
  • Doing everything that we do with health, safety and the environment as a key focus.
