ERP Functional Analyst

Basic Function

This role is accountable to the Commercial and Marketing business units for the delivery of ongoing ERP process improvements, stabilization and global standardization, as well as providing first line day-to-day support. It is also accountable to the IT function for the advocacy of the IT policies, strategies, and practices. This role provides the opportunity to work across the Phillips 66 value chain. This position provides opportunities for building relationships and networking across various businesses and IT organizations globally. A successful ERP Functional Analyst has a solutioning mindset and is a self-starter who can learn quickly and work independently.

Primary Accountabilities/Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibilities of the ERP Functional Analyst position will be to provide business solutions / functional-based systems support to the UK Commercial and Marketing organisations
  • Assisting with translating business need into ERP processes requirements including partnering with IT and other business groups to understand needs, solution and business value
  • Understanding global and standard processes to enable them to be used followed / leveraged as appropriate and partnering with the Business to implement
  • Increasing business acumen; proactively engaging the business to understand and optimise end-to-end business processes
  • Understanding and identifying alternatives, presenting options, and making recommendations to improve and optimise the businesses systems footprint
  • Capturing business requirements and reviewing functional designs, with ERP functional teams, for systems changes
  • Executing ERP projects within the agreed project portfolio or has required based on Corporate / Global initiatives
  • Participating in business unit, IT, vendor, and/or industry networks

Critical Skills/Leadership Criteria

  • Hold the legal right to live and work in the UK on a permanent basis without restrictions, or meet the relevant criteria for employer sponsorship under the UK points-based immigration system.
  • 1+ years of ERP system experience in business, finance or IT roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working experience with business requirements gathering needs
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work both indepdently and as part of a wider team
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, deliver on commitments, and use sound judgment

Phillips 66 has significant marketing operations in Europe. In the UK the business is primarily wholesale, selling fuels to distributors (some of whom are branded JET) and resellers. The fuels are either collected by customers or delivered through a contracted road tanker fleet operating out of a number of UK distribution points. In addition, Phillips 66 Limited supplies a network of approximately 330 independently owned petrol forecourts, all of which are branded JET.

 

Other markets served are aviation, marine and LPG. JET supplies some of the UK's growing secondary airports using owned and shared refuelling tankers and storage, and delivers to airlines through contracted refuelling operations. Marine markets are served using contracted vehicles, as is the LPG business.
