The Team Lead Regional Sales is responsible for the Joint Venture accounts, managing the portfolio to enhance the business and site level performance/profitability. With a broad base knowledge of Regional Sales and programs, this position will drive process improvements in support of annual business plans through projects, development and training of Regional Sales team and through collaboration with the sales organization.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts by cultivating strong relationships with customers to grow and retain volume. Account management includes contract renewals, program management, contract compliance, cost management, and drive key sales initiatives.
- Collaborate with field sales representatives to support hybrid accounts, ensuring seamless communication and coordination for enhanced customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Consult Regional Sales Reps and Expeditors on contract renewals, economic modeling, deal negotiations and customer issue resolutions.
- Partner with customers to provide ongoing consultative support that enhances their business performance and profitability, while proactively identifying opportunities for growth and site enhancements.
- Support implementation and execution of Phillips 66 programs.
- Engage key support groups to effectively address and resolve operational challenges, ensuring timely solutions for even the most complex problems.
- Utilize internal systems and dashboards to effectively manage territory and deliver on KPIs.
- Provide effective Salesforce support, escalating issues as needed while proactively identifying opportunities to empower and develop the capabilities of Regional Sales Representatives.
- Identify critical training and development areas for existing team and facilitates the onboarding of new team members.
- Works collaboratively to develop Sales Representatives skills through continuous coaching and training.
- Leads and maintains process training and provides ongoing support for the Regional Sales team.
- Identify, implement, and manage process improvements and automation projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions
- At least three years experience in Marketing, Transportation, Commercial operations or other relevant experience
- At least two years of experience in sales or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Minimal overnight travel - up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Analytics: at least three years of experience demonstrating ability to analyze data and draw conclusions
- Influencing others: at least three years of experience working with Influence Management, such as conflict resolution and leading internal/external resources to achieve goals with internal and external partners / vendors
- Results oriented: experience driving results and delivering real business improvements
- Negotiating skills: experience finding the most profitable way to complete a deal that works for both sides, while building strong, trusting relationships
- Communication skills: proficient in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure common understanding with multiple levels of management.
- Ability to be self-managed and to motivate others to achieve objectives
- Problem Solving: Ability to define options around solving issues and then to coordinate activities to implement the chosen solution
- Excellent planning, strategic thinking, teamwork and business skills
- Strong knowledge of market share, refinery systems, strengths and weakness of channels and customers
- Proficient with PC applications, MS office applications, and data management; able to gather and interpret data from separate systems
