The Supervisor, Power Accounting will oversee two contract analysts and provide guidance on various accounting topics. Key responsibilities include overseeing monthly settlements for power purchases and sales, managing 24/7 ISO and Non-ISO operations, cogen supply, and future commercial retail power.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise two contract analysts
- Provide guidance to workgroup related to the following accounting topics:
- Monthly settlements for power purchases and sales
- 24/7 ISO and Non-ISO
- 24/7 Cogen supply
- Future commercial retail power
- Work process for ISO physical margining
- System consolidation for Allegro and future ETRM
- Monthly settlements for power purchases and sales
- Review and approve the following for workgroup:
- Non-standard journal entries
- General ledger account reconciliations
- 10Q and 10K disclosure submissions once deemed material
- Controlled vendor postings for manual payments
- SOX Controls/Documentation and Significant Spreadsheet changes
- Communicate with auditors, Accounting Policy, External Reporting, FP&A, other Accounting Groups and Power Trading and Scheduling as needed
Required Qualfications
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions
- 5-7 years of accounting experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred
- Proficient with SAP S/4, AFO, Allegro, BlackLine, Excel
- Prior supervisory or team lead experience
- 5-7 years of operation oil & gas accounting experience
- Prior power accounting experience
- Able to work independently
- Take initiative quickly and accurately resolving reconciliations issues
- Attention to detail and deadlines
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills / team player
- Organizational skills — able to prioritize responsibilities
