The Supervisor Poly & Solvents Scheduling will be responsible for overseeing a team of schedulers who work with internal and external customers to manage the logistics for solvents and polypropylene from origin to end users. The Poly & Solvents Supervisor will support all team members and as necessary act as a liaison between Refining, VCO, BD and Midstream in support of logistics and asset optimization and maximizing general interest value. The role will include people leading responsibilities and support the team’s scheduling activities for refineries, terminals, marine vessels, trucks and rail cars as needed.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Managing a team of schedulers and ensuring the team has the appropriate support to execute the logistics for moving products from origin to destination.
- Working as a thinking partner with schedulers to support optimizing movements and inventories, identifying market opportunities, and balancing profit with operational risk.
- Thinking strategically with the ability to anticipate problems and working with the schedulers to provide resolutions.
- Overseeing product movements and ensuring safe, timely deliveries by monitoring availability of barges, on-site and off-site storage, supply point options, delivery time requirements, schedule availability, traffic, and weather conditions.
- Driving efforts to address systems issues and enhance scheduling processes and monitoring team metrics to ensure issues are being addressed timely.
- Ensuring your team is coordinating with Inventory Accounting, F&PA Analysts and other stakeholders as appropriate for accurate deal movement capture and timely financial reporting.
- Fostering strong working relationships with external counterparts that distinguish Phillips 66 as an industry leader in integrity, scheduling excellence, and professionalism.
- Collaborating with Business Development to continuously evaluate logistics network and maintaining efficient and cost-effective options for product movements.
- Overseeing secondary costs of third-party supply chain stake holders, managing loss control oversight, and engaging with other internal stakeholders as needed.
- Ensuring the team is inputting movements into SAP, Navarik, Mainstay and other 3rd party systems accurately and on-time as applicable.
- Learning your team’s scheduling responsibilities and providing vacation relief coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years working experience
- Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers, counterparties, suppliers and consultants
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Able to work remotely via cellphone and/or laptop computer 24/7
- Able to work extended and non-standard hours
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience working in scheduling, transportation, and/or customer service
- Experience with SAP, Navarik and/or Mainstay applications
- Good understanding of downstream operations and value drivers
- Ability to set, manage and meet multiple and competing priorities
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with ability to communicate effectively
- Highly ethical with a personal drive and dedication to achieve team goals and to increase general interest value to the company while supporting internal and external customers

Truck movements are provided through numerous third-party trucking companies, as well as through our 100 percent-owned subsidiary, Sentinel Transportation LLC.
