The Sr. Commercial Accounts Manager, Gathering & Processing (G&P) is responsible for managing commercial activities associated with the Phillips 66 Gathering & Processing business in the South-Central Texas region. This role is accountable for understanding price and supply/demand trends, cultivating customer relationships, and optimizing value from the G&P contract portfolio. The position works closely with Operations, Project Development, Legal, FP&A, and other Commercial teams.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Managing an assigned customer portfolio in the South-Central Texas region
  • Developing new customers and deepening relationships with existing customers
    Prospecting and developing new business opportunities to expand market share
  • Building in-depth knowledge of G&P market structure and dynamics through key industry relationships
  • Monitoring customer and contract performance regularly to ensure commercial targets are met
  • Serving as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned customers, coordinating with internal stakeholders to deliver projects and solutions
  • Identifying and executing new long-term supply opportunities, including supporting pricing and contract term development in partnership with Commercial and Trading
  • Identifying process improvements, leading or supporting projects to implement changes, and owning ongoing activities that result from those improvements
  • Providing accurate, timely financial analysis and commercial evaluations to support approvals and decision-making
  • Consolidating data from multiple internal and external sources to assess market conditions and trends, and communicating implications to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner
  • Traveling up to 25% of the time to meet with customers and internal partners

 

What You’ll Bring - Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 4 years of oil and gas industry experience (midstream, marketing, trading, or similar commercial roles)
  • Experience gathering and interpreting data from multiple sources, build economics, and draw conclusions that drive business results
  • Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, evaluate alternatives, and make sound commercial decisions
  • Intermediate or greater proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex commercial issues clearly
  • Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to travel up to 25% of the time

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8 years of oil and gas industry experience, preferably with midstream G&P commercial exposure
  • Knowledge of the petrochemical and midstream sectors, including gathering, processing, transportation, and marketing
  • Solid understanding of marketing, pricing, transportation, and/or commercial operations
  • Self-directed with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working as a collaborative, team-oriented contributor and elevating team performance through informal leadership
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable commercial results while working independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify or create new opportunities and challenge the status quo where appropriate
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, charts, and basic automation)

 

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $136,800 - $167,200.

Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements. Midstream

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
