The Commercial Accounts Manager, G&P is responsible for managing business activities associated with the Phillips 66 Gathering and Processing business in the Delaware Basin region. This role is accountable for understanding price and supply/demand trends, cultivating customer relationships, and optimizing revenue contribution from all G&P contracts. This role requires frequent interaction with several internal groups, including Operations, Project Development, Legal, FP&A, and Commercial.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Managing a customer base for an assigned region and/or customer assignments
- Developing new customers and managing existing customer relationships
- Prospecting and developing new business opportunities to expand market share
- Developing in-depth knowledge of G&P market structure and dynamics through key industry relationships
- Monitoring customer portfolios’ performance regularly to ensure targets are being met
- Assuming the lead role of customer interface for all commercial activities while collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver projects
- Identifying and executing on new long-term supply opportunities and assists in determining prices and contract terms for profitable transactions in partnership with the Commercial and Trading functions
- Identifying projects and / or activities that will improve current processes, then leading those projects or taking accountability for ongoing activities or objectives coming from that identification
- Taking accountability for accurate and timely financial analysis, project approvals, ongoing customer engagement, and sets strategy within their region to support the company’s purpose across the organization
- Consolidating multiple data points to assess market conditions and changes as they occur
- Communicating assessments throughout the organization so that stakeholder may react timely
- Travelling to meet with various groups/teams
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High school Diploma or GED
- 5 or more years of related experience
- Proficient at gathering and interpreting data from multiple sources, developing economics, and drawing sound conclusions that drive business results
- Proven ability to positively interact and establish relationships with internal/external stakeholders, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions based on sound business criteria
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to travel up to 15% of the time
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or related fields
- Knowledge of petrochemical industry
- Good overall understanding of Marketing, Pricing, Transportation and/or Commercial operations
- Demonstrate measurable results while working independently, with minimal supervision and direction
- Critical thinking skills to enable the identification or creation of new opportunities and to challenge status quos
- Results oriented with focus on continuous improvement
- Experience with advanced data analytics tools
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills using formulas, lookups, arrays, graphs, macros and pivot tables for data manipulation
Midstream
The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, enhancing our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
