Sr Advisor I, Virtualization & Infrastructure

As a Sr Advisor I, Virtualization & Infrastructure, you will help design, engineer, and improve the enterprise platforms that power day-to-day operations across the organization. In this role, you will blend strong systems engineering expertise with analytical problem-solving to enhance virtualization environments, strengthen infrastructure performance, and ensure reliable, secure technology services for business partners. You will serve as an experienced technical resource, contributing to platform modernization and supporting ongoing operational excellence.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Design, deploy, and support enterprise virtualization platforms across on‑premises and cloud environments.
  • Engineer and maintain Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) systems on virtualized and cloud platforms.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system issues and drive improvements using automation and infrastructure‑as‑code.
  • Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities to optimize infrastructure operations.
  • Support migration initiatives, disaster recovery planning, and enhancements to day‑2 operational performance.
  • Serve as an escalation point for managed service providers and collaborate with architects, engineers, and security teams.
  • Analyze data to support decision‑making, perform system performance testing, and maintain technical documentation.

 

What You’ll Bring – Required

  • 3 or more years of experience working independently and advising others in infrastructure or systems engineering roles
  • Expert proficiency in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise virtualization platforms
  • Intermediate proficiency in Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) operating systems in virtualized or cloud environments
  • Intermediate proficiency in analyzing current state processes, documenting gaps, and supporting transitions to future state capabilities
  • Advanced proficiency in supporting hybrid environments across on premises and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Certifications such as Nutanix, Red Hat, Microsoft, VMware, AWS, or Azure
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage, networking, and disaster recovery technologies
  • Experience designing or supporting cluster configurations or WAN/LAN environments
  • Strong data analysis capabilities to support technology decision‑making
  • Experience performing system or application performance testing and resolving performance issues
  • Experience working with offshore or managed service providers
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage complexity and optimize work processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault‑isolation capabilities for complex infrastructure issues

 

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $136,800 - $167,200.
