What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate operational support for marine terminal activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations across assigned facilities.
- Provide expert guidance on waterway management, ship-to-shore interface, berth operations, and risk mitigation, partnering with terminal management to address marine risks including berth operating envelopes, environmental limits, vessel fit, and terminal clearance reviews in accordance with the Marine Vetting Standard.
- Manage the Marine Advisor Program, including invoicing, formal issue resolution, report review, and tracking measurable improvements from advisor findings.
- Foster strong relationships with terminal teams and industry partners, championing safe and environmentally responsible practices.
- Actively participate in incident management and represent the organization in local and regional forums on port operations and regulatory matters.
- Oversee complex logistics and troubleshoot operational challenges, ensuring all marine and offshore operations meet internal standards and external regulations.
- Develop and optimize work schedules to align resources with business goals and drive continuous improvement in quality and performance.
- Contribute to business planning, support compliance initiatives, and help build team capabilities through coaching and development.
- Ensure high-quality service delivery, effective performance management, and a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
- Support Global Logistics Assurance teams and the Marine Terminal Network of Excellence by providing marine technical and operational expertise.
What You’ll Bring – Required
- 6+ years of Marine Terminal Operations or Management experience, or equivalent marine logistics operations or management experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
- Willingness to travel extensively to local ports and terminals (approximately 30–40%).
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from a maritime institution or equivalent advanced education.
- Senior officer experience on tank vessels (Master or Chief Officer) or similar leadership roles in marine operations.
- SIRE inspection or TMSA auditor training/certification and hands-on audit experience.
- At least 6 years of extensive experience conducting marine terminal audits, including USCG, EPA, and State Land Offices.
- In-depth familiarity with international marine standards such as OCIMF and IMO.
- Demonstrated success in developing and leading quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Proven ability to coordinate operational support and manage complex logistics in a marine or offshore environment.
- Strong knowledge of marine safety, regulatory compliance, and operational best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $171,000– $209,000.

Truck movements are provided through numerous third-party trucking companies, as well as through our 100 percent-owned subsidiary, Sentinel Transportation LLC.
