The Scheduler, Specialty Solvents role supports the end-to-end order-to-cash and supply chain scheduling process for Specialty Solvents. This position plays a critical role in ensuring customer commitments are met safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively by balancing demand, inventory, and logistics while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and manage assigned supply chain and scheduling activities to meet customer service targets while maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing operating costs.
- Coordinate daily scheduling and order execution by building and tracking orders, determining product sourcing locations, and aligning shipment timing with terminals, refineries, and transportation providers.
- Monitor supply and demand forecasts, identify potential risks or constraints, and take action to balance profitability with operational reliability.
- Verify order accuracy by confirming product specifications, quantities, pricing, and compliance with established shipping guidelines and master data.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Specialty Solvents customers, providing daily customer service support and resolving order, pricing, logistics, and documentation issues.
- Partner closely with Sales, Credit, Finance, Transportation, and other internal teams to release orders, manage changes or cancellations, and ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Maintain accurate customer records and SAP master data, contribute to supplier and contract performance feedback, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scheduling effectiveness, customer experience, and operational performance.
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 or more years of experience in commercial scheduling, supply chain, logistics, transportation, or customer service roles
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and enterprise systems such as SAP or other supply chain management tools
- Ability to work extended or non-standard hours and be available remotely when business needs require
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience supporting Specialty Solvents or similar chemical or refined product businesses
- Knowledge of multiple transportation modes, including truck, rail, barge, or vessel
- SAP proficiency, particularly in order management, master data, and scheduling functions
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and adapt to changing market or operational conditions
- Strong customer focus with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver on commitments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze complex information, and resolve issues in a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, customers, and external partners
- Working knowledge of supply chain planning, order management, and inventory optimization in a low-to-moderate complexity environment
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $106,200 - $129,800.

Truck movements are provided through numerous third-party trucking companies, as well as through our 100 percent-owned subsidiary, Sentinel Transportation LLC.
