Senior ServiceNow Engineer

The Senior ServiceNow Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of ServiceNow solutions, focusing on IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Security Operations (SecOps), Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and Customer Service Management (CSM). This role requires deep expertise in ServiceNow capabilities and best practices to enhance IT operations efficiency.

 

Position can be based at our office in Bartlesville, OK, or Houston, TX.

 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and ITIL best practices.
  • Configure and develop solutions across ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, CSM, SPM, and SAM.
  • Create and maintain custom applications, UI pages, widgets, and workflows.
  • Develop automation using Flow Designer, Business Rules, and Client Scripts.
  • Build and manage Service Catalog, Fulfillment, and Self-Service portals.
  • Implement and maintain ITOM solutions, including discovery, event management, and service mapping.
  • Ensure accurate CMDB data and visibility into IT infrastructure.
  • Automate and optimize IT operations using AIOps and monitoring integration.
  • Implement SecOps modules, such as Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response.
  • Monitor platform health and optimize ServiceNow performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, scripting errors, and workflow bottlenecks.
  • Ensure proper role-based access control (RBAC) and security settings.
  • Work closely with business analysts, process owners, and IT teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and administrators.
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices and ITIL guidelines.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High diploma or GED equivalent
  • 5 or more years of experience with ServiceNow, including ITSM, ITIL, ITOM, GRC, and Service Mapping
  • 6 or more years of overall IT experience
  • 5 or more years of hands-on ServiceNow experience in configuration, scripting, and development
  • Strong background in ITIL, automation, and cloud environments (AWS and Azure)
  • Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing ITOM solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM, ITOM, or SecOps
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
  • Strong scripting skills in JavaScript, Glide API, and AngularJS/React
