The Senior Manager, Health Services is a senior-level leader responsible for shaping how workplace health is delivered across a complex, safety‑critical organization. This role blends clinical expertise with people leadership and strategic partnership, operating at the intersection of employee care, operational readiness, and regulatory responsibility. It’s an opportunity for an experienced health professional to make a meaningful, visible impact on workforce wellbeing while guiding a skilled team and collaborating across the business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead occupational health services that protect employee wellbeing, support safe operations, and strengthen business performance in a complex, industrial environment.
- Develop and deliver health strategies aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational priorities, providing expert guidance on medical surveillance, fitness-for-duty, injury management, and return-to-work programs.
- Oversee clinical care activities, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and referrals, while ensuring confidentiality, documentation integrity, and compliance with state and federal medical standards.
- Partner closely with HSE, HR, legal, and operational leaders to identify risk, improve health outcomes, and embed practical, preventative health solutions into daily operations.
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary health services team by setting clear direction, fostering accountability, and building an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- Collaborate with internal partners and external medical providers to ensure consistent standards of care, effective crisis response, and access to high-quality medical services.
- Monitor performance using health and safety metrics, driving continuous improvement through process enhancements and digital health technologies.
- Champion wellness and health education initiatives that support long-term employee health and organizational sustainability.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, balancing clinical expertise with sound judgment and influence to help the organization operate safely and responsibly.
- This position will supervise up to 5 team members.
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Master’s degree or equivalent level of education in a relevant health, medical, or safety‑related field
- 6 or more years of progressively responsible experience in occupational health, industrial medicine, or a closely related health and safety discipline
- 3 or more years of adult primary care provider practice
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- Advanced clinical licensure or certification (e.g., APRN, PA‑C, or equivalent), in good standing within the state of practice
- Direct experience in occupational medicine, employee health, or health services supporting industrial or safety‑sensitive operations
- Experience partnering closely with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams to improve workforce health outcomes
- Strong understanding of medical surveillance programs, fitness‑for‑duty evaluations, and absence or disability management practices
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and fostering an inclusive, high‑performing culture
- Experience leveraging digital health systems or electronic health records to drive consistency, quality, and efficiency
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical or professional guidance in complex, regulated environments with multiple stakeholders
- Proven ability to analyze complex information, apply sound judgment, and influence outcomes across diverse teams
- Experience planning, organizing, and overseeing programs or services to meet regulatory, operational, and workforce needs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust, collaborate effectively, and lead through change
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $176,400 – $215,600.
