The Scheduler, Ethanol will work in an open, fast-paced team of Commercial Schedulers in Houston to optimize commodities in Phillips 66’s portfolio for both Commercial Supply and Trading positions. The individual will primarily cover ethanol scheduling activities for the US but may assist with international waterborne cargoes and other clean products. The position will work closely with the Senior Scheduler, Ethanol and directly report to the Supervisor, WC & Rockies Clean Scheduling.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, execute, and manage daily scheduling and nomination activities to meet commercial trading, marketing, and customer demand.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing operational risk.
- Provides scheduling coverage on a 24/7 basis except when relief coverage is available.
- Enters data into SAP, Trade66, Navarik, Mainstay, other 3rd-party systems, etc. accurately and promptly to meet operational, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate rail, truck, marine, and terminal activities by partnering with internal teams, service providers, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate product movements.
- Monitor asset operations and inventory positions, proactively identifying constraints, risks, and opportunities to support value optimization and supply reliability.
- Ensure accurate and timely entry of scheduling, inventory, and movement data into SAP and other logistics systems to meet operational, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Supply, Trading, Marketing, and Operations to resolve issues, communicate impacts, and support informed decision-making.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, counterparty disputes, and contract performance issues, escalating as needed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements, maintaining desk documentation, and sharing best practices to improve efficiency and execution quality.
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3+ years of experience in the energy industry supporting logistics, supply, and/or trading activities.
- Intermediate proficiency with analytical tools such as Excel and PowerBI.
- Ability to work extended or non-standard hours as required to support scheduling operations.
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- Experience with ethanol, clean products, or downstream commodities scheduling.
- Working knowledge of rail, truck, marine, and terminal operations.
- Experience supporting contract management, supplier performance monitoring, or procurement activities.
- Proficiency with SAP and commercial logistics or scheduling systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and support data-driven decisions.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience planning and managing supply chain activities within established frameworks and systems.
- Working knowledge of logistics and supply chain systems, inventory management, and data analysis tools.
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $106,200 - $129,800. This role is eligible to participate in the company’s commercial bonus program, offering the opportunity to earn additional compensation based on business and individual performance, in accordance with program guidelines.

The Commercial organization works to effectively leverage assets and market knowledge to create additional value within the risk parameters of the Company.
