Procurement Specialist, Analytics

The Procurement Specialist, Analytics position is a part of the Center of Excellence (COE) Data & Analytics team and is responsible for the development, implementation and sustainability of assigned Category and Sourcing analytics in support of commercial excellence.  As part of our team, you’ll contribute to achieving Procurement strategic objectives, including execution excellence, value creation, and continuous improvement.  Being selected for this position would mean joining a team passionate about manipulating data, driving commercial negotiations through data, and embracing a data driven strategy.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter that is well-versed in analytical and database tools, has experience in data analysis and extraction, and can work both in a team environment and at an individual contributor capacity level while engaging with cross-functional stakeholders frequently.
 

Primary Responsibilities May Include:

•    Support Category Management, Field Procurement, & Strategic Sourcing efforts through the effective use of data

•    Collaborate with Category Managers, Field Procurement, & Strategic Sourcing teams to develop and apply category- specific commercial models and dashboards

•    Create Should Cost models for goods and services procured by Phillips 66

•    Drive consistency by developing and utilizing standardized methodologies to evaluate bids across similar efforts, with a  focus on data-driven insights

•    Understand existing ERP and non-ERP datasets, ensuring coherent representation for informed decision-making

•    Partner with various teams to define sustainable category data requirements

•    Collaborate with the Community for Insights, Data Engineering and Data Science Teams to drive meaningful insights through advanced analytics

•    Drive creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement

 

Required Qualifications:
•    Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
•    Bachelor’s degree
•    3 or more years of experience in supply chain, business analysis, analytics & reporting, or a related role
•    Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in creating, deriving, and interpreting analytical insights
•    Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
•    Proficiency in MS Office suite

 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Prior experience working in Procurement / Supply Chain
•    3 or more years of experience in performance reporting and analytics or other data-driven operations discipline
•    Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP R/3 and S/4), cloud data solutions, analytics platforms, and related technologies
•    Python, SQL, Power BI and other Statistical and Machine Learning experiences
•    Ability to utilize Prompt Engineering techniques to enhance functional excellence and capabilities
•    Ability to collaborate effectively with business and local/remote IT resources
•    Ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
•    Track record of delivering on commitments
