The Predictive Maintenance Supervisor, Midstream Reliability is a technical leader responsible for optimizing the reliability and performance of rotating and reciprocating equipment in midstream gas compression, gas processing facilities, and NGL pump systems. This role manages the implementation and execution of predictive maintenance technologies—including vibration analysis, remote equipment monitoring, thermography, motion amplification, and motor current signature analysis—to monitor critical assets such as natural gas engines, natural gas turbines, centrifugal & reciprocating compressors, and various pumps. By analyzing predictive maintenance data and leading root cause failure analyses, the Supervisor ensures early detection of equipment issues, reducing unplanned downtime and extending asset life.

In collaboration with reliability teams, operations, and engineering, the Supervisor integrates predictive maintenance into daily workflows and long-term asset strategies. This includes overseeing technician training, maintaining equipment data in SAP PM, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as OSHA, EPA, DOT, and PSM. The role provides technical oversight of OEM equipment (e.g., GE, Solar, Caterpillar, Waukesha, Ariel) and plays a key part in improving asset integrity, operational efficiency, and safety across the midstream operation.

The Supervisor will have in-depth knowledge of natural gas engines, gas turbines, centrifugal & reciprocating compressors, pumps, and associated systems. Additionally, the Supervisor will have strong analytical skills in vibration diagnostics and failure mode analysis as well as strong leadership, communication, and team development capabilities.

This position can be based out of the Houston, TX headquarters or Bartlesville, OK office.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Lead predictive maintenance efforts across gas compression and processing assets.
  • Implement and manage condition monitoring technologies and data interpretation protocols.
  • Provide technical direction on gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, and rotating equipment.
  • Oversee technician training and development in advanced diagnostic tools and reliability practices.
  • Collaborate with reliability, engineering, and operations teams to optimize maintenance strategy.
  • Conduct root cause failure analysis and implement continuous improvement actions.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and history in SAP PM.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA, PSM).
  • Evaluate and manage third-party contractors and vendors for maintenance support.
  • Support budget development and asset lifecycle planning.

    • Work on call as needed including responding to emergencies
    • Work in outside conditions (i.e. gas compression sites) that include inclement weather
    • Work safely in loud environments near large, hot, high-speed machines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance
  • 10 or more years of experience in gas compression or processing facilities
