The Master Data Coordinator requires close collaboration with Commercial Business Services (CBS) functions, the Commercial Front office (Traders and Schedulers) and various Commercial support groups (Billing, F&PA, Inventory Accounting, Secondary Costs, Terminal Clearance, etc.). This position will be required to complete daily tasks, as well as small projects. The position will allow growth in knowledge of the Commercial business and systems, from deal inception through logistics and accounting. Team members will need to think of the big picture and how that relates to or affects other groups.
Responsibilities May Include
- Performing daily tasks using specific knowledge (mapping, system configuration, gathering information).
- Performing error analysis and corrections related to accurate and timely reporting of pipeline shipments and other transactions executed by the Commercial organization.
- Collaborating with the Commercial front office to understand operational needs and translate the requirements into system solutions and configurations.
- Participating on business improvement teams.
- Creating/maintaining stakeholder relationships and cross functional focus.
- Applying a comprehensive understanding of systems, service offerings, and enterprise value.
- Extracting and analyzing data (research, collection, analysis, present).
- Performing regression and critical function testing in trade systems for new functionality and software releases. Collaborate and jointly design solutions with IT to remedy any issues.
- Proactively sharing your knowledge.
- Participating in and executing responsibilities as a member of the Commercial Business Continuity Plan (BCP) team.
- Occasionally working non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 or more years of relevant industry experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience in Commercial or a Commercial support function
- Experience recording, reconciling or reporting pipeline movements
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
- Technical aptitude to learn quickly and become self-sufficient in SAP
- Business understanding of Commercial operations as well as the downstream value chain
- Strong sense of teamwork as well as the ability to work independently across multiple functional areas with a high level of self-initiative and drive
- Ability to manage responsibilities on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to coordinate effectively with many stakeholders across one or multiple functional areas
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written to ensure common understanding
- Operate effectively in a dynamic work environment
- Experience with Transactional Systems (i.e.: SAP, Transport4)
