The Supervisor, Experienced Recruitment is responsible for sourcing, pipelining, attracting, interviewing, and hiring top talent for a wide variety of roles for the experienced talent pipeline. This position will lead a high performing recruiting team, champion our hiring processes in support of a positive candidate and hiring manager experience and drive changes to ensure that the company attracts and hires great talent for all departments and business units. The successful candidate will be able to balance recruiting activities and the implementation of recruiting and hiring processes to meet business needs while prioritizing team development and creating an exceptional candidate experience.
This in-office role at our Houston, TX headquarters offers flexible work schedules, including a 9/80 option with an extra day off every two weeks, or a 19/30 option for better work-life balance. Employees can choose one of these flexible options in addition to one work-from-home day per week.
Responsibilities may include:
Advisory and Strategic Planning:
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and business teams, providing insights on talent gaps, industry trends, and compensation practices.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships; partner effectively with business leaders and functional teams to ensure business requirements are clearly understood and met; maintain broad influence through ongoing development of internal/external relationships across the organization.
- Conduct continuous market research to identify emerging technologies, process trends, and opportunities.
- Strengthen the employer brand proposition and recruitment marketing initiatives to create a consistent, engaging candidate experience, while aligning talent acquisition strategies with business goals to build a future-ready workforce.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters to drive an efficient hiring process and create strategic hiring plans focused on diverse talent, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Promote a culture of creativity and accountability within the talent acquisition team, enhancing relationships with hiring managers through consultative advice and quality results.
- Establish and develop networks through industry contacts, and other sources to maximize recruitment resources.
- Utilize data-driven insights and KPIs to set targets, measure recruitment effectiveness, and identify gaps in productivity and training needs.
Operational Excellence:
- Continuously improve recruiting and hiring processes to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
- Utilize recruitment metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of hiring strategies, identify areas for improvement, and present regular reports to business leaders.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of compliance and legal requirements related to recruitment, ensuring compliance with regulations and minimizing legal risks.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams, as necessary.
- Responsible for understanding and assisting all business units with strategy related to recruiting to meet their business needs.
- Create sustainable and cost-effective talent sourcing strategies to support the business with new creative ways for directly sourcing candidates.
- Leverages and enhances recruiting technology, tools, and internal and external best practices to optimize processes and team performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor's degree in human resources (HR), Business Administration, or a related field required
- 8 or more years of experience in talent acquisition, including creation of sourcing and recruitment strategy, metrics
- 3 or more years experience of leading a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience in energy or related process industry
- 3 or more years of experience in in-house corporate recruiting
- 1 or more years of experience in recruitment agency environment
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (SuccessFactors preferred), Recruiting Automation Technologies (HiredScore, Paradox, etc.), candidate sourcing tools, and recruiting analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in using multiple recruiting and sourcing strategies including advanced use of social networking sites, for passive and active candidate recruitment
- Strong business acumen and Demonstrated ability to solve complex and ambiguous business problems leveraging data analysis and modeling. Big picture thinker who anticipates future trends and consequences and creates competitive strategies and plans
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and ability to effectively work and collaborate across geographies, functions, and levels with a service mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives, vision, including meeting facilitation and create and deliver presentations to partners and various levels of leadership
- Goal-oriented, self-starter who can prioritize activities to achieve results in a rapid-paced, changing business environment
