IT Program Manager

The IT Program Manager is responsible for driving financial and execution performance oversight for projects and programs under the governance of the Project Management Office (PMO). Delivers innovative solutions to support continuous IT improvement and digital agility. They work to set direction, work activities, and structure of the PMO controls team and provide governance oversight for associated activities.

 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Manage control metrics and finances for programs under the governance of the PMO.
  • Proactively identify risk and support mitigation efforts in the assigned portfolio.
  • Define and develop project risk framework to support Information Technology Leadership Team decisions based on cost, value, and risk matrix.
  • Drive outcomes by tracking alignment to program vision, managing implementation roadmaps, tracking program risks, and providing progress visibility to the IT Leadership Team.
  • Provide input on interdependencies and issues impacting multiple projects (e.g., resource and funding allocation, go/no-go decisions).
  • Maintain budget alignment for the corporate IT project governance board portfolio.
  • Collaborate with IT Leadership to prioritize the project portfolio.
  • Develop and deploy process improvements to create efficiencies within the PMO.
  • Identify and troubleshoot discrepancies in the budget, timeline, and execution performance, for projects in the IT portfolio.
  • Lead/participate in learning opportunities to improve project and program management competencies. Coach project/program managers on the iPMO process and procedures.
  • Facilitate/deliver training workshops on PMO activities and processes to ensure consistency of approach.

 
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • 5 years of experience in the job offered or in an IT Program Manager-related occupation
