What to Expect

Join Phillips 66 as the Global Structuring Director where you’ll drive high-impact commercial strategies, structure complex transactions, and lead teams to deliver exceptional value. You’ll operate at the intersection of business development, financial structuring, and strategic growth, collaborating with senior leaders and key stakeholders to shape the future of the organization.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee the structuring of strategic, complex transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, project financing, and commodity contracts across global markets.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies for significant organizational growth, identifying, evaluating, and structuring key transactions to maximize value creation.
  • Own the deal pipeline and approval processes, ensuring integrity, consistency, and sound financial modeling.
  • Partner with origination, trading, and functional leadership to execute new growth projects and expand markets in key regions.
  • Analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to identify strategic opportunities and optimize existing portfolios.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for potential deals, leading technical, financial, legal, and operational evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, working closely with legal, compliance, and control functions.
  • Develop financial and valuation models to assess deal economics, synergies, and risk/reward profiles.
  • Manage end-to-end deal execution, including term sheet negotiation, contract finalization, and coordination with internal and external teams.
  • Build and nurture key client and customer relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop and mentor high-performing teams, fostering talent and capability development to support strategic ambitions.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, building networks and enhancing reputation.
  • Manage departmental budgets, performance objectives, and operational compliance.

 

What You'll Bring (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of deep commercial experience in commodity markets, financial structuring, and executing complex transactions within the oil, gas, and or energy sectors
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Master’s degree or equivalent level; advanced degrees (MBA, Finance, Economics, Engineering)

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and driving results in large, multinational, matrixed organizations
  • Strong customer focus, strategic planning, and ability to manage complexity
  • Experience with CRM and sales automation platforms

 

Compensation Range 

  • $238,500 - $291,500

 

 

The Commercial organization  works to effectively leverage assets and market knowledge to create additional value within the risk parameters of the Company. We do this by maximizing general interest profitability, enhancing return on capital employed by successfully partnering with the Refining, Transportation and Marketing functions to ensure Value Chain Integration.   Our truck and rail fleets support our feedstock and distribution operations.  Rail movements are provided via a fleet of more than 10,000 owned and leased rail cars. Truck movements are provided through numerous third-party trucking companies, as well as through our 100 percent-owned subsidiary, Sentinel Transportation LLC.
