The Director, NGL Business Development is responsible for supporting the NGL Business Development team with strategic analysis, market analysis, and portfolio management in the midstream function to facilitate and develop key NGL Business Development initiatives.
 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Understanding the Midstream business strategy and market drivers and assist with the retention of business and development of new business.
  • Supporting the NGL Business Development team in coordinating internal and external resources to establish justification and identify risks for new projects and optimization initiatives.  A key component is developing models, and presentations.
  • Monitoring and maintaining project schedules, spending, and execution progress.
  • Developing opportunities to enhance existing portfolio of assets, including 3rd party business 
  • Developing/Maintaining strong industry relationships
  • Performing competitor analysis
  • Supporting the team in preparation of early FEL work and white-paper documents to effectively progress the project from concept to initial eAFE funding.
  • Working closely with the Strategy Execution team to support and shepherd the required Functional Review process to move projects from eAFE to AFF.
  • Developing relationships with corporate support groups to assist with specialized needs such as legal, audit, investment appraisal, major projects, etc.
  • Supporting, developing and maintaining tools; i.e. share drive, documents, calendars, models and presentations to facilitate learning and documentation.
  • Supporting the NGL Business Development team in external stakeholder engagement.  Tasks may include, calendar coordination, agenda development, and event organization.    

 
Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or related field


Preferred:

  • 3 or more years of industry experience including NGL commercial, business development, operations and/or logistics in Downstream and/or or Midstream
  • 1 or more years of experience in the project FEL process
  • 1 or more years of experience in development of project economic evaluations
  • Influencing skills, including the ability to work across departmental and functional boundaries in a matrix organization
  • Strong facilitation skills - ability to manage upwards and help secure understanding, ownership and commitment to activity timings, within key discipline leads
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to model innovative commercial terms to assess value proposition
  • Multi-tasking - ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and/or adjust to priority adjustments
  • Self-starter capable of working with limited supervision; Strong organizational skills
     

 

 

Midstream

 

Phillips 66's Midstream business is a safe, reliable and trusted logistics provider for the movement and storage of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 22,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
