What You’ll Do
• Driving major advances in LP models for numerous refining sites, using and building custom tools for tracking and improving LP accuracy.
• Engage with senior leaders to assess strategic challenges and deliver innovative solutions that shape future operations.
• Offer unique modeling solutions and recommend technical improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Act as an expert modeling authority, providing support to site LP owners, guiding the development of best practices, and fostering a culture of innovation across teams.
• Partner closely with site engineers and planners to provide expert support for refining models, troubleshoot and generate vectors to update sub-models using SIM models, and deliver actionable insights through in-depth model reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead a PIMS network of site users to promote knowledge-sharing sessions, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with third-party partners to ensure engineering solutions meet technical best practices.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies, facilitate training programs, and help build a collaborative environment where creative ideas and technical excellence drive business results.
What You’ll Bring – Required
• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
• Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodations, to travel up to 5%
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering discipline
• 10 or more years of experience in refinery economics, operations, process engineering, or fuels blending / scheduling field(s)
• 5 or more years of experience with LP modeling
• 5 or more years of experience with AspenTech PIMS Program
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
• 12 or more years of experience with LP modeling and AspenTech PIMS Program
• 3 or more years of basic supervisory experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency with HCAMS/HCOMET, KBC Petro-SIM, PI Vision / PI AF
• Visual Basic programming experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Strong understanding of downstream value chain business drivers
Compensation Range:
• $190,000 - $271,700
