The US Supply Products Coordinator will serve as the strategic adviser for Billings Clean Products supply value chain and logistics. This role works with Commercial, Marketing and Midstream to support the development and implementation of the Product Placement Plans for the US refining system. The role will build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders to support existing business activity and any potential new business development  

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Lead Supply activities for Billings refinery region including producing monthly STOP demand forecast, continuous collaboration with refinery, leading weekly SORT, inventory management, and pipeline optimization
  • Lead Weekly US Deal Review Team, providing approval for Marketing contracts on supply availability and pricing
  • Optimize product placement across all regions ensuring highest value general interest placement in the market 
  • Collaborate and communicate routinely with Trading, Scheduling, Marketing, Exchange, and Midstream to ensure alignment on highest value clean product placement
  • Develop monthly supply/demand balances for each market and communicate cross functionally 
  • Drive cohesion across all regions on routine activities (supply/demand balancing, go-to market support, DRT, placement plans)
  • Support VCO Product Optimization Directors
  • Ensure planned and unplanned maintenance is optimized across value chains and within markets
  • Proactively address supply, demand, and inventory balances during outages
  • Support development and execution of turnaround re-supply plans for products 
  • Track re-supply costs associated with turnarounds and unplanned outages 
  • Serve as resource for regional Business Development opportunities 
  • Support/Facilitate evaluation of capital projects and 3rd party logistics commitments 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field
  • 4 or more years of experience in Commercial, Refining, Midstream, or Marketing  
  • Understanding of downstream operations, supply chains and value drivers
  • Basic knowledge of petroleum market commercial fundamentals including general understanding of contract terms and risks
  • Ability to manage conflict and facilitate resolution
  • High degree of personal drive and dedication to achieve personal/ team goals and objectives
  • Capable of influencing others to achieve desired results and common objectives
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environments and make continuous improvements
  • Ability to set, manage, and meet multiple and competing priorities
  • Ability to technically and fundamentally analyze data to recommend actions to stakeholders 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

 

The Commercial organization  works to effectively leverage assets and market knowledge to create additional value within the risk parameters of the Company. We do this by maximizing general interest profitability, enhancing return on capital employed by successfully partnering with the Refining, Transportation and Marketing functions to ensure Value Chain Integration.   Our truck and rail fleets support our feedstock and distribution operations.  Rail movements are provided via a fleet of more than 10,000 owned and leased rail cars. Truck movements are provided through numerous third-party trucking companies, as well as through our 100 percent-owned subsidiary, Sentinel Transportation LLC.
