As an Advisor III, Sustainable Compliance, RF, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our renewable fuels business operates with integrity, transparency, and alignment to global regulatory and sustainability frameworks. This role blends regulatory interpretation, sustainability compliance, and commercial insight to support the growth of Phillips 66’s renewable initiatives in dynamic international markets. You’ll serve as a trusted partner to internal teams and external stakeholders while helping shape processes that enable responsible, compliant, and efficient operations.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and implement sustainability, chain-of-custody documentation, mass balance processes, and certification and fuel pathways requirements including ISCC.
• Analyze and interpret international renewable fuel regulations—such as RED II, LCFS, and the U.S. EPA Renewable Fuel Standard—to advise business partners and guide compliant commercial activities.
• Standardize compliance-related processes, support risk mitigation, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards across renewables operations.
• Prepare for and lead sustainability audits while managing documentation, reporting, and interactions with regulatory bodies and industry associations.
• Provide expert advice to internal teams, ensuring policies and procedures are aligned with evolving renewable fuel incentives and global regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Refining, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, Government Affairs, and external suppliers to support renewables growth initiatives such as Rodeo Renewed.
• Draft and update compliance training materials, and process improvements to optimize workflows and reduce operational risk.
• Review documentation for regulatory accuracy, ensure timely report submissions, and support commercial decision-making with analysis of compliance, financial, and market risks.
• Deliver training programs on compliance principles, documentation standards, and regulatory expectations.
• Represent Phillips 66 in renewables-related forums, partnering with counterparties to align on sustainability and certification requirements.
• Maintain deep proficiency in regulatory trends, industry best practices, and compliance technologies to strengthen organizational capability.
What You’ll Bring – Required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 3 or more years of relevant compliance, regulatory, or commercial experience
• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
• Direct experience with renewable fuels, feedstocks, and sustainability certifications such as ISCC
• Familiarity with the economic value of renewable fuels and renewable credit markets
• Knowledge of governmental regulatory programs and environmental or legal compliance frameworks
• Previous experience in commodity trading, marketing, blending, or refinery operations
• Ability to create value-driven solutions and improve procedures through continuous development
• Strong auditing skills and deep understanding of documentation standards
• Proficiency with compliance management tools and advanced data analysis methods
• Self-starter with the initiative to identify opportunities and enhance business outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams in fast-paced, high-demand environments
• Experience with compliance process development, documentation review, and regulatory reporting
• Ability to analyze financial and commercial risks and provide actionable recommendations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
• Experience interpreting laws and regulations and applying them to operational or commercial activities
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $121,500 - $148,500.
