As Advisor II, Sustainable Compliance RF, you will help guide the organization through a complex and evolving regulatory landscape related to renewable fuels and sustainability. You’ll serve as a key partner to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance, reducing risk, and supporting the company’s growing presence in renewables and low‑carbon markets. The role blends compliance expertise, regulatory interpretation, and operational guidance to help the business make informed and responsible decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Interpret laws, regulations, and renewable fuel program requirements to translate them into practical compliance processes that support safe and efficient operations.
- Manage sustainability and renewable compliance activities such as mass balancing, chain‑of‑custody documentation, and certification requirements including ISCC and other applicable programs.
- Investigate compliance‑related incidents, identify risk exposures, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to improve systems, policies, and reporting accuracy.
- Serve as a resource to internal teams by responding to compliance inquiries, advising on process application, and contributing to procedure development and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1 or more years of experience working independently in a compliance, regulatory, environmental, or related role
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- Knowledge of renewable fuel policies and programs such as RED II, LCFS, or the EPA Renewable Fuel Standard
- Experience with sustainability certification programs (e.g., ISCC) and chain‑of‑custody documentation
- Familiarity with commodity trading, renewable feedstocks, or commercial refinery/blending operations
- Background in regulatory program management, environmental compliance, or policy development
- Experience using compliance or audit management software to support documentation, reporting, or risk identification
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and make informed recommendations
- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and interest in continuous improvement within compliance or renewables work
- Ability to prepare and review complex documentation with accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience interpreting laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks and applying them within operational environments
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory reporting, or compliance procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively and constructively within a fast‑paced environment
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $106,200 - $129,800.

Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements. The Commercial organization works to effectively leverage assets and market knowledge to create additional value within the risk parameters of the Company. We do this by maximizing general interest profitability, enhancing return on capital employed by successfully partnering with the Refining, Transportation and Marketing functions to ensure Value Chain Integration. Our truck and rail fleets support our feedstock and distribution operations. Rail movements are provided via a fleet of more than 10,000 owned and leased rail cars. Truck movements are provided through numerous third-party trucking companies, as well as through our 100 percent-owned subsidiary, Sentinel Transportation LLC.
