As Advisor II, Cost Controls, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of capital projects. In this position, you will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting project costs to ensure financial performance aligns with project budgets and corporate objectives. Your expertise will help drive transparency, accountability, and smart decision-making, making a direct impact on project outcomes and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain project structures in SAP and EcoSys, including networks and activities, and process requisitions to support projects execution.
Prepare and submit monthly accruals while proactively resolving invoice discrepancies. - Facilitate Asset Registration
- Develop and maintain project cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Monitor project expenditures against budgets and provide early warning of potential cost overruns
- Support preparation of cost estimates and budgets for new projects and change orders
- Work closely with Project Managers, Planners, and Finance teams to provide cost data and financial insights
- Review and validate invoices, purchase orders, and contracts for compliance with cost coding and budget allocations
- Maintain cost control systems and ensure data integrity in cost management software
- Assist in cash flow forecasting and financial planning
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvement
What You’ll Bring – Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- 1 or more years of cost control or cost engineering experience in the energy or related industry
- Proficiency in cost control and reporting software (e.g., SAP, Excel, or similar systems)
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or a related field
- 5 or more years of cost control or cost engineering experience in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemical industry
- 5 or more years of experience in: Planning, Scheduling, Tracking, Estimating, Forecasting
- Proficiency working directly with EcoSys and Power BI
- Professional certifications (e.g., AACE CCP, PMP, or similar)
- Familiarity with project planning and scheduling processes
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $108,900 - $133,100.
