As an Advisor I, Credit - Commercial you’ll play a key role in supporting sound credit decisions and helping the business operate with confidence. What You’ll Do
- Monitor credit exposure using internal systems and apply established credit policies to support informed credit decisions.
- Investigate aged debt, work with customers and account managers to resolve underlying issues and recommend actions that maximize collections.
- Review and assess new counterparties or new activity for existing relationships, identifying key credit risk drivers and communicating findings clearly.
- Prepare accurate reports and insights that support credit reviews, operational needs, and day‑to‑day decision‑making.
- Work independently to resolve complex process questions and escalate policy exceptions when required.
- Partner with commercial, legal, accounting, and credit evaluation teams to support credit limit recommendations and resolve collection challenges.
- Negotiate and support credit enhancements such as guarantees or letters of credit in alignment with established guidelines.
- Maintain accurate exposure data, ensure documentation quality, and contribute to ongoing improvements in credit processes.
- Address issues such as delinquencies, disputes, or potential bankruptcies with sound judgment and timely follow‑through.
- Build your expertise through hands‑on analysis, technology adoption, and collaboration in a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Bring — Required
- 1 or more years of experience providing credit support in the energy industry, specifically in the power and natural gas sector
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
What Makes You Stand Out — Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Experience providing credit support in the energy industry, especially natural gas or power
- Familiarity with financial statements and financial analysis
- Proficiency with SAP or similar enterprise systems
- Ability to analyze data, apply established financial policies, and follow defined credit processes with accuracy
- Strong verbal communication skills to resolve inquiries and support internal and external partners
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment and collaborating with cross‑functional teams
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $93,600 - $114,400.
