The Reporting Advisor is responsible for supporting both internal and external reporting of Phillips 66 to the regulatory agencies, including the SEC and FERC, as well as third-party partners. The position will be involved in various projects to identify and implement continuous improvement for reporting and work collaboratively across various groups to accomplish these projects. Duties also include coordinating and preparing the Hart Scott Rodino reporting, supporting FERC reporting, and supporting the annual questionnaires. The candidate must be able to research accounting and disclosure-related issues and work directly with the Controller, external auditors, and other regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Analyze and evaluate current processes for compiling and preparing regulatory reporting to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies.
- Coordinate and lead improvements with Fixed Assets and other teams to streamline and improve processes.
- Preparation and coordination of Hart Scott Rodino reporting.
- Research accounting literature and evaluate implementation as well as application for newly integrated assets related to internal and external reporting (e.g., DISE, statutory reporting changes with divestiture activity).
- Lead or provide guidance for projects and other assignments as needed.
- Support of regulatory and internal reporting.
- Support of annual questionnaires and associated training.
- Become a subject matter expert in FERC and Regulatory reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- BA in Accounting
- 6 or more years of financial reporting or public accounting experience
- Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA
- Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Workiva
