Advisor, Intern Programs & Events

The Intern Programs & Events Advisor is part of the Early Career Recruiting group. This role is responsible for building strong relationships with key stakeholders and management of the Phillips 66 Internship Program. This role involves coordinating with various departments, ensuring the smooth execution of events, and providing guidance and support to interns.

 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Partners with Business Units/Functions to understand recruiting needs, strategy & targets  
  • Plan and execute events related to intern programs, including orientations, training sessions, networking events, and end-of-program celebrations
  • Supports functional specific intern program needs (networking, functional specific training, etc.) 
  • Responsible for enterprise-wide Intern & University New Hire "keep warm" strategy 
  • Works with Intern Coordinators on project assignments and supervisors for the interns 
  • Serve as the Intern's key point of contact upon offer acceptance 
  • Ability to help recruit/engage in on-campus or external activities 
  • Manage Vendor Partnerships as needed
  • Manages intern performance, works with BUs on return offers 
  • Event management - Super Days, Finance forums, high school engagement, external engagement, etc. 
  • Ability to manage multiple relationships/functional needs 
  • Holding performance conversations with interns and provide feedback 
  • Establishing and maintaining credibility with customers, internal partners, and external contacts through collaboration and by providing high quality products and services
  • Partner with stakeholders on developing and implementing strategies for campus recruitment, including attending career fairs, conducting on-campus interviews, and building relationships with university career services

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 1 or more years of experience in Corporate University Relations, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, or Project and/or Event Management
  • Proficient in analyzing and/or managing multiple streams of data
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Willing and able to travel up to 15% of the time

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with talent acquisition systems (e.g., the applicant tracking system (ATS) and/or candidate relationship management (CRM) tools
  • 1 or more years of experience managing university intern or co-op programs
  • Experience with social media networking (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) 
  • Experience with Phillips 66 University Recruiting process
  • Takes initiative, self-directed, strong organizational skills, and effective communication skills 
  • Training & functional development experience
  • Excellent people skills and willingness to take on challenges
  • Background in the energy industry or higher education
