The Account Manager, East Region Accounts plays a critical role in driving profitable growth and long-term customer partnerships across an assigned geography. This role is responsible for managing strategic marketer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering value through Phillips 66 lubricants, programs, and technical expertise. The position balances strategic planning with hands-on sales execution to ensure market growth, earnings optimization, and customer satisfaction.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned domestic lubricant marketers.
  • Develop and execute joint business plans that align commercial priorities.
  • Drive volume, margin, and market share growth across the assigned territory.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing actions, and profitability optimization.
  • Maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and end-customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Technical Service, and Brand Management teams.
  • Provide market intelligence to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • Coordinate product training and sales programs for marketers and customers.
  • Support marketer quality standards and incentive programs to strengthen long-term performance.

 

What You’ll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 or more years of experience with accountability for sales, marketing, or customer support activities
  • Intermediate proficiency with CRM systems, data analysis, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel at least 50% of the time

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 or more years of lubricants, petrochemical, or related industry sales experience
  • Experience supporting strategic marketers, distributors, or channel partners
  • Ability to analyze market trends and translate insights into actionable sales strategies
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional resources to support complex customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and drive profitable growth
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders

 

Compensation Range

This position has a base salary range of $121,500- $148,500.
