To ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse by maintaining accurate records, coordinating shipments, overseeing inventory management, and supporting warehouse staff with administrative functions

 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Monitor and record incoming and outgoing shipments; ensure proper documentation and labeling.
  • Schedule deliveries and pickups with suppliers, couriers, and transport companies.
  • Generate reports on inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • Support cycle counts and annual physical inventory processes.
  • Coordinate with procurement, sales, and customer service teams for order fulfillment and stock availability.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
  • Track KPIs related to warehouse performance, such as order accuracy, shipping times, and stock levels.
  • Manage filing systems and document control for warehouse records (delivery notes, bills of lading, invoices).
  • Assist in onboarding and training of warehouse clerks or administrative support staff

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of logistics, inventory control, and warehousing principles
  • Working Conditions:
  • Office located within or near warehouse floor
  • May require occasional lifting or handling of materials (<50 lbs)
  • Must wear PPE when on warehouse floor
  • Standard work hours, with occasional overtime as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field
  • Prior administrative or clerical experience

The Wood River Refinery is located in Roxana, Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of St. Louis, Missouri, at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes a mixture of light, low-sulfur; heavy, high sulfur; and high-acid crude oil. The crude supply is sourced domestically or from Canada. Wood River produces a high percentage of transportation fuels. Other products include petrochemical feedstocks, asphalt and petroleum coke. Refined products are distributed to customers by pipeline, rail car, barge and truck and are shipped to markets throughout the Midcontinent region.

 

The base pay range for this role is $56,610– $ 83,300 depending on a candidate's relevant work experience and education.
