We are seeking a senior-level Unified Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead architecture, design, and strategic direction for our global voice and collaboration platforms. This individual will act as the top technical authority for enterprise voice services, with deep expertise in both on-premises and cloud-based voice systems, SD-WAN voice optimization, and service resiliency. This role is critical to setting standards, driving innovation, and ensuring operational excellence across a highly available, scalable, and secure voice network at Phillips 66.

 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Architect and implement enterprise-grade voice infrastructure, spanning on-prem (CUCM/Unity), SIP, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Cisco Webex Calling).
  • Design and support SD-WAN-based voice solutions, optimizing for performance, QoS, resiliency, and cost efficiency across geographically dispersed sites.
  • Serve as lead architect for all voice-related initiatives, setting standards for equipment, configurations, and protocols.
  • Provide Tier 4 support for escalated issues related to voice, video, and collaboration technologies.
  • Assess and design network and UC solutions for large capital projects; ensure voice infrastructure alignment with business needs.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of products related to:
    • Call Detail Records (CDR) management systems.
    • Telecom Defense & Optimization Systems (TDOS)
    • E911 solutions, including dynamic location tracking and compliance
    • Voice traffic analysis, reporting, and incident management tools
  • Guide the integration of voice services into ITSM processes, change management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Administer and maintain mission-critical services including Cisco CUBE, CUCM, Unity, and Webex Mesh.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of voice systems through system upgrades, monitoring, and automation where possible.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members and support staff; promote knowledge sharing and process standardization.
  • Partner with external vendors and service providers to procure, deploy, and manage collaboration tools and support services.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 or more years of experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Unity
  • 5 or more years of hands-on experience with Cisco CUBE, CUCM, and SIP trunking migrations
  • 5 or more years of managing Cisco Webex Calling and Collaboration platforms
  • 3 or more years of architectural design and operational support for SD-WAN voice deployments
  • 5 or more years of experience evaluating and implementing solutions for CDR, E911, and/or TDOS
  • Proven success managing global, enterprise-class voice services with high availability and security
  • Demonstrated leadership in the delivery of voice systems for capital IT projects
  • Experience working in large-scale IT environments with diverse, global stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional – Collaboration (CCNP-Colab) or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience with unified communications and enterprise network architecture
  • Expertise in LAN/WAN, QoS, and IP telephony integrations
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, Zoom Phone, or similar UCaaS platforms
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience with automation frameworks or scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) to support voice ops
  • Proven ability to align technical solutions with business strategy and compliance requirements
