T

he Advisor, Digital IT DR/BCP in Platform Engineering will have a focus on Cyber Recovery & Disaster Recovery to help ensure the organization can withstand and recover from cyber incidents and technology disruptions. This role focuses on designing, operating, and continuously improving backup, restore, and DR capabilities for key platforms and applications, working closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams.

 

What You'll Do

  • Support the cyber recovery and DR strategy for on‑prem, cloud, and SaaS platforms.
  • Maintain and update application tiering / criticality and RTO/RPO data for supported platforms.
  • Ensure backup and recovery configurations align to security policies and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Translate business and security requirements into practical recovery designs (e.g., immutable backups, cloud recovery patterns).
  • Monitor and manage backup and recovery jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure coverage for critical systems.
  • Coordinate and execute restore operations during incidents (e.g., ransomware, data corruption), partnering with Incident Response and Platform teams.
  • Maintain and improve DR runbooks, playbooks, and dependency maps for platform services.
  • Plan, coordinate, and document recovery tests and tabletop exercises; track issues and remediation through closure.
  • Administer or support backup, snapshot, and recovery platforms (enterprise and cloud‑native).
  • Build or contribute to dashboards and reports showing coverage, success rates, and key recovery metrics.
  • Work with engineering teams to automate test restores, coverage checks, and alerts for failures or SLA breaches.
  • Provide training and guidance to application and platform teams on recovery requirements and patterns.
  • Communicate recovery risks, issues, and test outcomes in plain terms to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

 

What You'll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  •  1+ years of experience in one or more of the following
    • Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity.
    •  Infrastructure / Platform Operations.
    • Cloud engineering (AWS, Azure, GCP) with focus on resilience and backup.
    • Security Operations / Incident Response.
  • 1 + experience with backup and recovery tools (enterprise and/or cloud‑native).
  • Intermediate proficiency in RPO/RTO, high availability vs. disaster recovery vs. cyber recovery.
  • Beginner proficiency ransomware / destructive attack recovery concepts.
  • Intermediate proficiency Core infrastructure concepts (virtualization, storage, networking, operating systems).
  • Advanced proficiency documentation, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. advanced skills 
  • 1 + years’ experience working collaboratively across teams and executing  under time pressure.

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Experience with immutable / air‑gapped backup or cyber vault solutions.
  • Experience with cloud resilience patterns (multi‑AZ, multi‑region).
  • Familiarity with incident response tools and processes.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBCP, CRISC, CCSP, CISSP, or cloud certifications).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills for infrastructure and operating system issues

 

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $108,900 - $133,100.
