- Oversee the MSP related to Pension and Share-Based Compensation (Shares) month-end close process, including approval of journal entries and providing guidance as needed.
- Ensure controls are appropriate and adhered to in collaboration with the MSP.
- Provide continuous training to MSP partners to address turnover and maintain expertise.
- Review the share data utilized in the Earnings Per Share (EPS) calculation.
- Validate share information reported through SEC Form 4 submissions related to changes in ownership of company stock by corporate executives.
- Review quarterly dividend share counts and funding information, as well as the dividend equivalent calculation and payout.
- Prepare 10-K Share-Based Compensation disclosure.
- Review 10-Q disclosures of share and pension data.
- Oversee the preparation of the annual pension audited financial statements submitted to the Department of Labor through Form 5500.
- File annual reports with the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation.
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial variance analysis.
- Review account reconciliations performed by the MSP.
- Collaborate with other internal functions on ad hoc requests.
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive employee data
- 3 or more years of professional experience
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to thoroughly review and analyze financial data
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Flexibility to manage fluctuating workloads, including periods of increased demand, while maintaining work-life balance
- Build technical corporate accounting expertise
- Gain experience working closely with Statements and Consolidations, Accounting Policy, various corporate functions, and FP&A
- Strengthen leadership skills by guiding, directing, and providing oversight of accounting work performed by the MSP
- Enhance communication skills with various levels of management and cross-functional teams
- Develop the ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality
