The Advisor, HR Projects will play a pivotal role in managing various HR projects and the overall HR portfolio as a member of the HR PMO. The HR PMO integrates project, program, and portfolio management functions to drive organizational success by aligning initiatives with strategic objectives and optimizing resource utilization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective planning and execution of HR projects while ensuring they are aligned with strategic objectives and drive business value. 

Role can be based in Houston, TX or Bartlesville, OK.

 

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Establish, implement and advise on best practices, standards and methodology for project management within the HR function. 
  • Act as project manager, providing support, guidance, and governance for individual projects, including project scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting with a focus on executing projects successfully. 
  • Develop and execute HR project plans, including defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple projects within a program, ensuring alignment with program goals. 
  • Provide the HR Project Governance Board (PGB) a view into active projects, status and resourcing. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on project status to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive standardization and develop internal playbooks for various project types including new technology implementations, mergers, acquisitions, asset closures and divestitures. 
  • Maintain process knowledge and Project Management tools. 
  • Develop and enhance HR portfolio management governance approach and practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify HR project requirements, resources needed, and stakeholders' expectations.
  • Ensure HR practices are compliant with regulatory requirements and company policies, including global privacy regulations.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3 or more years of project management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and software
  • Project Management (PMP) or Scrum certification
  • Previous work experience in human resources
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, processes, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work effectively under pressure
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders across the organization
  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies
  • Previous experience working with company confidential information 
  • Willingness to question requests and advise alternative recommended options 
  • Ability to work effectively in team atmosphere
  • Strong individual initiative and commitment to superior performance and continuous improvement
