As an Associate IV, Contracts supporting our US Marketing business, you will help ensure our branded fuels contracts are accurate, compliant, and aligned with our customers’ needs. You will work closely with Sales, Legal, and other internal partners to draft, administer, and maintain contracts that support our growth and protect the company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with details, systems, and stakeholders to keep contract processes running smoothly at Phillips 66.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support contract managers in reviewing and drafting contracts, terms, and conditions that meet legal requirements and industry standards for the energy sector.
  • Coordinate with Sales, US Marketing, and other internal partners to ensure timely creation, routing, and execution of contracts, amendments, and addenda.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and databases, including data entry, document filing, and updates throughout the customer lifecycle from initial setup through renewal or termination.
  • Gather and report on contract performance information to support negotiations, renegotiations, and business decision-making.
  • Arrange and support meetings, actions, and communications with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors, to help resolve contract-related issues.
  • Monitor adherence to required policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines, helping ensure operational compliance across assigned contracts.
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc reports, summaries, and standard correspondence using office software and Phillips 66 systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract processes and tools and participate in implementing enhancements that make work more efficient and effective.
  • Participate in training and development to deepen your knowledge of contract management practices, systems, and US Marketing business priorities.

 

What You’ll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3 or more years of working experience in sales support, account management, customer service, contracts, or related fields
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in drafting or reviewing legal documents
  • Ability to work independently and under time constraints resolving items timely in a team environment
  • Experience communicating effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
  • Experience with contract administration or contract management in the energy or fuels marketing sector
  • Experience with or understanding US Marketing or similar downstream commercial businesses
  • Proficient in SharePoint and Salesforce, with the ability to become proficient working in Power BI
  • Experience gathering and analyzing contract performance data to support negotiations and process improvements
  • Demonstrated attention to detail when working with large volumes of contract and customer data
  • Experience influencing and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and deliver results

 

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $68,100 - $83,720.

Our Marketing and Specialties segment markets refined petroleum products such as gasoline, distillates and aviation fuels, mainly in the United States and Europe. 

 

UNITED STATES - Phillips 66 markets gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel through a variety of channels of trade.  Gasoline and distillate products are sold on both a branded and unbranded basis, and aviation fuels are sold through independent marketers and dealers. These operations are strategically served by the company's refineries and transportation systems. Dec. 31, 2017, we marketed gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel through approximately 7,550 independently owned outlets in 48 states. These sites utilize the Phillips 66, Conoco or 76 brands. At Dec. 31, 2017, our wholesale operations utilized a network of marketers operating approximately 5,700 outlets.

INTERNATIONAL - We have marketing operations in four European countries. Our European marketing strategy is to sell primarily through owned, leased or joint venture retail sites using a low-cost, high-volume approach. We use the JET
brand name to market retail and wholesale products in Austria, Germany and the United Kingdom. In addition, a joint venture in which we have an equity interest markets product in Switzerland under the COOP brand name. 1,324 marketing outlets exist in our European operations, of which 993 were company-owned and 331 were dealer-owned.  In addition, through our COOP joint venture operations in Switzerland, we have interests in 306 additional sites. During 2017, we completed construction of 30 new JET branded sites and 12 new COOP sites.

SPECIALTIES - Phillips 66 manufactures and markets specialty products designed to support commercial, industrial and wholesale buyers worldwide.  The company's product line includes petroleum coke, waxes, solvents and polypropylene.  Certain manufacturing operations are included in the Refining segment, while the marketing function for these products is included in the Specialties business.
