The Productivity Engineering team is responsible for managing the Microsoft 365 environment which is critical for operations at Phillips 66. We provide system administration, technical, and functional support as well as end-user education for all applications that fall under Microsoft 365 including, Office, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc. The Productivity Engineering team's goal is to provide the business with applications, processes, and training that will allow them to modernize their ways of working to be more productive, collaborative, and mobile.
The Microsoft 365 Messaging Analyst is responsible for the daily operations and management of the messaging environment as part of the Productivity Engineering team. This role is required to fulfill technical and functional support for several services that make up the messaging environment for Phillips 66. As this team is a leveraged team they will also be expected to provide backup support for other Microsoft 365 applications and administration.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Provide in-depth technical support for Messaging technologies including:
- Microsoft Exchange Online
- Microsoft Exchange Server 2019
- Microsoft Outlook client
- Microsoft Teams
- Internal Mail Gateway (SendMail Sentrion)
- RightFax
- Manage and resolve issues affecting Microsoft 365 applications and Messaging systems including server/client problems, operational issues, business continuity, disaster recovery, etc.
- Implement new software releases, patches, and hotfixes by following proper dev, test, and prod procedures.
- Maintain and develop Powershell scripts to support Microsoft 365 and Messaging systems.
- Create and maintain documentation including architecture drawings, operating procedures, and root-cause analysis associated with problems.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of new and emerging technologies that relate to Microsoft 365 and the Messaging environment.
- Conduct informal audits of Microsoft 365 and Messaging systems to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
- Participate in After-Hours and weekend rotation for the global Messaging environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience maintaining and managing global Enterprise Messaging systems
- 3-5 years experience in administering and providing technical support for Exchange
- 2-3 years experience with basic PowerShell scripting
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Excels in problem management/resolution and customer-facing skills
- Excellent team and independent work skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other IT/IS-related major
- Experience working out of a ticketing system (i.e. ServiceNow)
- Hands-on experience supporting a hybrid messaging environment with Exchange Online and Exchange on-prem
- Hands-on experience providing technical support for Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
- Excellent documentation and analytical skills
