As an Advisor I, Pipeline & Terminal Accounting, on our pipeline and terminal accounting team, you will help ensure accurate and timely volumetric statements, billing, and regulatory reporting that support safe and reliable operations at Phillips 66. You will work closely with a managed service provider and internal partners to oversee day-to-day through month-end billing activities, support government reporting, and maintain strong financial controls. What You’ll Do
- Manage and update billing-related financial transactions and master data in SAP and other systems to deliver accurate, timely statements and invoices for pipeline and terminal assets.
- Lead monthly close activities, including ticketing, balancing of assets, interface reconciliations, and review of tariffs, value-added services (VAS), and account reconciliations for accuracy.
- Serve as liaison with the managed service provider (MSP), overseeing performance, reviewing variance and gain/loss analyses, and resolving escalated billing issues across daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities.
- Organize, prepare, and maintain documentation, contracts, and billing procedures, ensuring policies, tariffs, and contract terms are accurately reflected in billing processes and system configurations.
- Support government reporting for pipeline and terminal activity by coordinating data, validating information, and partnering on filings with federal and state agencies.
- Compile, analyze, and interpret billing and operational data using tools such as Power BI and other reporting platforms to provide insights, identify trends, and support decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to quality assurance and risk management by monitoring key billing controls, supporting audits and compliance reviews, and helping implement corrective actions and process enhancements.
- Participate in system implementations, new asset startups, and strategic projects by testing changes, updating master data, and refining workflows to optimize billing processes.
What You’ll Bring – Required

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 or more years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or billing
- Intermediate or greater proficiency working in SAP, Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook), and data & reporting tools, such as Power BI
What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Experience in finance, accounting, or billing within the energy, pipeline, or terminal industries
- Experience working with managed service providers and third-party service teams
- Proficiency with SAP and specialized billing and operations tools such as TRAC66, Guardian, WEnergy, T4, 1CLM, Livelink, Blackline, and FlowCal
- Experience supporting government reporting to agencies such as FERC and state regulatory bodies
- Experience leading or coordinating small teams or cross-functional projects
- Demonstrated ability to use data analysis and reporting to enhance financial processes, controls, and insights
- Experience supporting system implementations, integrations, or large-scale process improvement initiatives
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $93,600 - $114,400.
