The Mechanical Technician will be responsible to perform routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdown repair of mechanical systems, including but not limited to; natural gas engines, natural gas compressors, instrument air compressors, centrifugal/reciprocating/diaphragm pumps, electric motors, 24V electrical systems, cooling fans and exhaust fans.

Responsibilities May Include:
- Performing maintenance and repairs on engines, compressors, and associated components, such as compressor valves, spark plugs, cooling, and lubrication systems (auxiliary).
- Performs overhaul of compressors and engines\engine swings, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup.
- Ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Complying with company policies, procedures, and directives.
- Performing work on air pollution control equipment.
- Performing required preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Performs and accurately documents regulatory and required inspections and duties.
- Identifying maintenance work and initiating work requests.
- Maintain clean facility appearance and safety using good housekeeping practices.
- Safe driving of a company owned vehicle within assigned area.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical problems.
- Ability to provides Quality Assurance\Quality Control over 3rd Party contractors performing major maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Must live/relocate within 45 miles of reporting location.
- Willing and able perform/comply, with or without a reasonable accommodation, with the following:
- Climb various ladders and stairs ranging 5 to 20 feet in height on platforms and catwalks to perform maintenance on equipment.
- Raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds.
- Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain,
- Work either inside or outside in conditions that may include heat, humidity, cold, and other inclement weather.
- Work alone a high percentage of the time.
- Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime on an as needed basis.
- Willing to work extended hours which may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Willing and able to work a rotating call-out schedule.
- Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment, such as hard hat, steel-toe shoes and ear and eye protection.
- Maintain all required operations and safety training including required Operator Qualifications for DOT covered tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of maintenance/mechanical experience in oil and gas or related internal combustion engine industry
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, and available maintenance programs.
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Apple IOS programs for I-Phone and I-Pad.
- A sound knowledge of code requirements, including OSHA, Process Safety, and MOC (Management of Change).
