What to Expect
As an Inventory Control Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the accurate, timely, and compliant movement of products and materials through inventory, scheduling, transportation, and related commercial operations.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor inventory balances, product movements, order status, and available capacity using approved systems and reports
- Enter, update, and verify inventory, shipment, transfer, and transaction information to maintain accurate records
- Perform cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and variance reviews; investigate discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues
- Coordinate with scheduling, production, warehouse, transportation, customer service, commercial, and site personnel to support timely product movements
- Support planning and tracking of truck, rail, or other transportation movements as applicable to the assigned site or business
- Review open orders, shipment requirements, and movement schedules; identify potential delays, shortages, overages, or other exceptions
- Maintain organized documentation and records supporting inventory transactions, approvals, movements, and compliance requirements
- Responsible for Month end/semi-annual inventory along with reports to finance
- Create Purchase Orders in SAP R3 for package and bulk raw materials orders for daily production
- Work with vendors, transportation companies, and supply chain on scheduling raw materials and managing inventories
- Master Data set up in SAP for PASS and Spec Distribution (Material, BOM, Rate routing, Cost collector)
- Will be backup to Transportation Technician position
What You’ll Bring - Required
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Outlook
- Advanced proficiency in SAP
What Makes You Stand Out - Preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Prior Experience in inventory control, logistics, warehousing, transportation, scheduling, manufacturing, customer service, or a related operational environment
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Certified SAP Power User
- 3 or more years of experience in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of Phillips 66 policies and procedures
- Proficient administrative, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel documents and competitive data
- Experience in document storage, filing, and retrieval
- Accepts ownership, is accountable and delivers on commitments
Compensation Range
This position has a base salary range of $72,900 – $89,100.
