The Advisor, Site Learning & Development reports to the Field L&D Leader - Refining. This position is responsible for overseeing the Learning and Development process for site employees by providing industry-leading, high-impact and meaningful learning experiences to build strategy-aligned capabilities for employees who are motivated to grow at Phillips 66 and enable the company to beat the competition.
Responsibilities May Include
- Coordinating and supporting the development and management of cross-plant Training and Refresher Programs
- Partnering with L&D business partners to determine and provide the right L&D solutions
- Developing key metrics to support site Training Requirements
- Assisting in the development and content review of training material
- Working with site to assist in L&D budget development
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and providing support to site
- Utilizing soft skills to build high performing teams of operations, crafts, engineers, and site leadership
- Functioning as a strategic partner to site leadership regarding workforce planning and skills assessments
- Communicating and collaborating with other sites to drive and enforce consistency in L&D related programs and processes
- Participating in and supporting the overall growth of the Learning & Development Organization
- Oversee and lead local L&D team in the training and development new hires, operators, and craft personnel
- Motivate and build trust within team through open and consistent communications, constructive feedback, sound decision making, timely follow-up, and leading by example
Required Qualifications
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 7 or more years of Refining experience
- Working knowledge of the Routine Maintenance Work Process, Reliability, and Operator Training Required Standards
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC); information can be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in a related industry
- Ability to influence a diverse work force
- Effective communicator with good oral and written skills
- Ability to work within a team and/or network environment and contribute to the success of the company
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, identify critical tasks and establish priorities
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Ability to translate long-term business strategies into practical and meaningful projects
