As an Associate IV, System Administration member at Phillips 66, you’ll help keep everyday technology services available for business users across the Bayway Refinery, Midstream, Lubricants and Remote East locations. Working with guidance and established procedures, you’ll support routine IT, data, documentation and equipment tasks that help employees stay productive and information accurate and accessible. This is an opportunity to build hands-on experience in a safety-focused environment while learning from local and remote IT partners.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Perform routine data entry and basic data collection tasks using company systems and standard software packages.
  • Support data management, file management and document filing activities so information remains accurate, organized and accessible.
  • Provide courteous, day-to-day assistance to internal business users with personal computing environments and business applications, escalating issues when needed.
  • Follow established procedures to help troubleshoot routine hardware, software and system issues involving desktops, phones, wired and wireless connectivity, and related site technology.
  • Operate basic IT equipment and complete routine hands-on tasks, including tracking hardware and supporting hardware refresh activities under direction.
  • Maintain clear documentation of supported systems, work requests and completed tasks, and promptly communicate status or errors.
  • Work with local and remote IT partners and suppliers as directed to complete shared tasks and service requests.
  • Learn and apply new technology, follow safety and operational standards, and identify practical process improvements with guidance.

 

What You’ll Bring - Required

  • 1 or more years of experience
  • Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
  • Ability to participate in an after-hours call-out schedule as appropriate
  • Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodations, to comply with the following:
    • Safely operate a motor vehicle in the refinery around process equipment
    • Comply with refinery safety requirements, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment when necessary
    • Lift computer equipment weighing up to 30 lbs. from the floor and safely carry it up 4 flights of stairs
    • Bend, stoop or crawl under furniture to connect wiring
    • Bend to pick up equipment and load a pull cart
    • Lift an individual item weighing up to 30 lbs
    • Push or pull equipment on a cart weighing up to 100 lbs
    • Climb 4 or more flights of stairs to access field hardware

 

What Makes You Stand Out - Preferred

  • Standard office equipment and software packages
  • Basic data entry, data management, file management and information retrieval
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 or more years of experience in an Information Technology discipline
  • 2 or more years of experience supporting Refining or Midstream IT assets
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, Active Directory, desktops, switches, fiber, wired and wireless Ethernet, or phone systems
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence individuals and groups
  • Ability to create an inclusive environment, build trust and confidence, and work effectively with business and IT resources
  • Active learner with good business knowledge and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Demonstrated initiative, results-driven effort and discipline in following operational standards and processes

 

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $88,000 – $107,580.

Where a candidate offer falls within the posted range depends on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
